ATI, Aero Trasporti Italiani, had just been launched as a subsidiary of Alitalia.

A young pilot from the Netherlands travelled to his boss, Captain Mainetti’s, country house in Sorrento at his invitation.
Invited for lunch, and taking the lift past the cliffs, he reached the beach where he was introduced to Mainetti’s girlfriend.
The film star and Oscar winner Sophia Loren.
